FORT KNOX, Ky. — 6th Regiment, Advanced Camp Cadets successfully accomplished the Buddy Team Live Fire course July 1 during Cadet Summer Training at Fort Knox, Ky. After completion, Cadets shared their favorite thing about Buddy Team Live Fire.
My favorite part about Buddy Team Live Fire is:
“Being able to work with my battle buddy and see our hard work pay off.” — Cadet Saebyuk Lee from the University of Nevada Rino.
“Being able to send rounds down range being with somebody who has the same drive and dedication toward a common goal.” — Cadet Scottie Huggins from Santa Clara University.
“Shooting real ammunition and getting a real first hand experience.” — Jimmy Jang from Illinois State University.
“Being able to work with my battle buddy.” — Cadet Josephine Hesse from Kansas State University.
“Getting to use live rounds. It’s more fun that way.” — Cadet Austin Caldwell from the University of North Georgia.
“Being able to work with someone that you’ve never met and have a brotherly connection.” — Cadet Cole Blais from Christopher Newport University.
“It gives me an opportunity to see through the eyes of those I will be leading.” — William Toepfer, Marquette University.
“Putting all the skills we learned at Basic Rifle Marksmanship (BRM) to the test.” — Cadet Austin Prime from Pennsylvania State University.
“That this is the closest, at this point in our training, that we will be in a real life scenario.” — Cadet Caleb Smith from American University.
“Putting absolute trust in my partner’s abilities as well as my own and completing the task at hand.” — Cadet Sam Olmstead from Western Michigan University.
“It was fast paced and we got to do something we’ve never done before.” — Cadet Grace Winton from The Catholic University of America.
“Building trust with someone you didn’t know two weeks ago.” Cadet Ted Rohrer from the University of Dayton.
